I am quite pleased with this product. It provides a very good alternative when you have a "chewing" dog, and the rubber-flap type door simply is not an option.
The only things I would improve: employ some brass bushings -- instead of the rubber so that there is a much longer bushing life. Also, incorporate a magnet system to hold the door directly in place (I did this myself by simply placing a couple of very strong magnets - one on the bottom edge of the door, and one directly below it on the frame).

Thanks for the suggestions. We had several customers try a door with brass bushings. None were satisfied with them. The brass bushing can not follow the curve in the slot when the door moves up and down in. We also did some customer field tests with magnets that were unsuccessful.

I had several hunting dog in the past 30 years and all kinds of dog houses and kennel doors, home made and purchased. These doors will be the last doors I will ever need to buy. Great quality and design. Thanks

I purchases 2 K-9 Kondo doors recently and have been really happy with them so far. Many other doors I have purchase in the past my dogs have torn them off and destroyed them. K-9 Kondo doors have been holding up just like they said.
The only concern I have is that they are extremely hard to adjust and take a long time to get them just right so they don't hit when the dogs go out and in. They work good for a few days and then start hitting again. I think that they should come from the factory completely put togather and adjusted. All you would have to do is screw on the main frame.
I highly recommend these doors if your dogs chew and pull on doors.

Thanks for the kind words about the Kennel Door. Take a look at this video on installing and adjusting the Kennel Door http://www.k-9kondo.com/pages/Kennel-Door-Installation.html I think you will find that it will help.

I have two German shorthairs that share the same dog house & kennel. I went through several dog doors commercially purchased & even a door made from a semi tractor mud flaps. My dogs ate every door eventually until I purchased a K9 door about 3 years ago. Flawless performance & cogs can't hurt it. Only reason purchased another door is to install a door in my new pole barn for the new dog kennel.

Doors are well made and dogs have learned to use them quickly. Collies. I have one door that sticks open when the dog goes out...havn't figured out how to fix this problem yet. Chew proof. Overall happy.
K-9 Kondo response:
Usually doors stick at the top when the locking pin is not placed in the top position. If the door continues to stick then the rain shield sides are adjusted too close to the center. Loosen the bolts on each side of the rain shield and move each side away from the center and re-tighten the bolts. If you have additional questions you can call me at 800-779-3546.
